Fei Hua, PhD

Dr. Fei Hua is an Executive director of Applied BioSimulation at Certara. She joined the company as part of the acquisition of Applie BioMath, where she was the vice president of Mechanistic Modeling and Simulation Services. In these roles, she works with client to design the right MIDD approaches to support projects ranging from early discovery to clinical development. She also leads and advises projects to ensure customer success. Before joining Applied BioMath, she was a Director of Clinical Pharmacology at Pfizer. Fei received her BS in Biology from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China and her Ph.D. from Department of Physiology at Cornell University followed by postdoctoral training at MIT in Department of Biomedical Engineering. With over 20 years of experience in modeling and simulation and clinical pharmacology, supporting programs in many different disease areas including oncology, CVMED, immunology, neurosciences and rare disease at different stages of drug R&D, Fei has first-hand witnessed how applying the right modeling approaches at the right time has helped answer critical questions and reduce the cost and time of drug development.
