Dr. Kenny Xie serves as a principal scientist at the US Pharmacopeia, where he focuses on the development of standards for Excipients, Foods, Dietary Supplements, and Herbal Medicines. His responsibilities include research and development, interdisciplinary scientific discussions, operational excellence, and product development to advance public health.
Dr. Xie holds a bachelor's degree in biological science from Nankai University, a Ph.D. in nutrition and food science, and an MBA from the University of Maryland. His professional experience includes roles as a staff scientist at International Chemistry Testing and as a scientific liaison, senior scientific liaison, and principal scientist at USP. He has authored 39 peer-reviewed manuscripts and contributed to 3 book chapters. Additionally, Dr. Xie plays leadership roles in several prominent academic journals and scientific organizations within the field of food science and nutrition.
