Matthew Conger, PhD is a senior scientist in drug product development (DPD) at AbbVie. Matthew graduated from the University of Vermont in 2018 with a PhD in inorganic chemistry where he studied the oxidative heme degradation mechanism of bacterial heme oxygenases using spectroscopy and modeling. Following his PhD, Matthew joined Boston University as a postdoctoral scholar where he studied the redox-linked activiation process for bacterial cytochrome c peroxidases using electrochemistry and bioinformatics. In 2021, Matthew joined the development sciences organization at AbbVie working as a preformulation scientist in drug product development. In his preformulation role, he assesses the phyiscochemical properties, stability, and developability of biologics. Matthew is interested in developing in silico tools to aid drug development and predict solution properties using their growing developability dataset.
