Associate Professor of Pharmaceutics
University College London, United Kingdom
Dr Jenny Lam is an Associate Professor of Pharmaceutics at UCL School of Pharmacy, UK. She obtained her MPharm and PhD from The University of Nottingham, UK. In her PhD study, she investigated the use of non-viral vectors for gene delivery. Jenny was awarded the Maplethorpe Fellowship, continued her research in nucleic acid delivery at King’s College London. She then joined the Department of Pharmacology and Pharmacy in the University of Hong Kong as Assistant Professor and returned to the UK in 2022.
Jenny’s research is focused on the development of novel delivery systems for RNAs and biologics, with a special interest in using particle engineering methods to produce dry powder aerosols for lung delivery, targeting various respiratory diseases and infections. She has published over 90 peer-reviewed articles and filed a number of patent applications on pulmonary drug delivery systems. In 2020, she was awarded the DDL Emerging Scientist Award which recognised her significant accomplishment and innovation in inhalation science.
