Mr. Aakash Nathani is currently a Graduate Student (Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics) at the College of
Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Florida A&M University. He
received his Bachelor of Pharmacy from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University in 2018 and
Master of Science (Pharmaceutics) from the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and
Research, Hyderabad, India in 2020. He is associated with organizations like Robin Hood Army
and Dweebs Global that provide free mentorship, education and food to less fortunate people. He
is also currently serving as the Chair of Florida A&M University’s AAPS student chapter and
has previously served as Vice-chair. He is also associated to FAMU’s NanoStrike club as current
President of the club. He is currently an intern at Eli Lilly & Company, Indianapolis, IN.
He has gained substantial experience in pharmaceutical dosage forms, solid state pharmaceutics,
cancer cell culture, immunotherapy and drug delivery systems. His research interests include co-
crystals, formulation, transdermal drug delivery, exosomes, and 3D printing. His current
project deals with exploration of extracellular vesicles from immune cells for their anticancer
properties for lung and breast cancer immunotherapy. He is also involved in delivery of small molecules orally using milk exosomes for cancers including lung, breast and brain
cancer.
