Matthew Nethercott is the Senior Analyst at Kansas Analytical Services, LLC (Loveland, CO) since 2014, which provides Solid State Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (SSNMR) spectroscopy services to the pharmaceutical industry. He operates two 400 MHz NMR spectrometers, routinely acquires and analyzes data, and writes technical reports containing data for 13C, 19F, 31P, and 15N solid state NMR experiments to address drug development questions for clients.
Matthew has been a mentor to graduate students during his career and has developed a collaboration where SSNMR spectroscopy results help support complementary analytical techniques in order to address drug development and formulations of amorphous solid dispersions (ASD).
Matthew has been an active member in the American Association of Pharmaceutical Sciences (AAPS) since 2014, contributing as an abstract reviewer for the annual meeting along with the career development committee. Matthew is an author on ten publications and is a co-inventor on a patent for a new generation of “static multiple sample NMR probes”, which would allow for data to be acquired on multiple samples at once, compared to the standard probe technology of one sample at a time.
