Pharmacist graduated from the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of São Paulo (2002), PhD in Biochemical-Pharmaceutical Technology from the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of São Paulo (2006), with a research internship at the Department of Chemical Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT, Cambridge, USA). Associate Professor at the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at UNICAMP. Since 2008, she has been a professor at the School of Pharmacy at the University of Campinas (UNICAMP). She coordinates the Laboratory of Pharmaceutics and Health Care (LaFateCS, @lafatecs.unicamp), with interests in (i) the development of topical and transdermal pharmaceutical forms using nanostructures; (ii) the use of natural and synthetic compounds – as active ingredients and excipients; (iii) proposing innovative formulations aimed at improving therapeutic efficacy; and (iv) investigating new presentations of Cannabis sativa to improve treatments, expand the therapeutic arsenal, and benefit a larger number of people. She was the Coordinator of the Pharmacy Undergraduate Program (2016-2020) and the Associate Dean of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at UNICAMP (2020-2024).
