Seeprarani Rath is a MITACS Accelerate Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Toronto, Canada. She graduated with a PhD from Rhodes University, South Africa, after completing her BPharm and MPharm (Pharmaceutics) degrees from India. Her research focuses on exploration of economical and less time-consuming alternatives to clinical endpoint studies to demonstrate equivalence between topical dermatological creams and correlating the in vitro-in vivo results which may help justify a biowaiver for such products. She is currently working on in silico simulations and model-based pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic approaches for complex drug products. She has more than 4 years of experience in clinical studies involving vasoconstrictor assay to assess bioavailability and bioequivalence of topical corticosteroid products. She has published over 10 peer-reviewed articles and has presented her research at several international conferences and seminars.
