Ishwor Poudel is a Ph.D. student at the Department of Drug Discovery and Development, Auburn University. He works under the supervision of Dr. Jayachandra Babu Ramapuram. His current research focuses on investigating different additive manufacturing technologies and their feasibility in fabricating personalized drug-delivery devices and formulations. His active 3D-printing projects are related to metal-based orthopedic devices to prevent post-surgical infections and injuries, polymer-based drug-eluting implants and scaffolds, and fabrication of orodispersible films for rapid drug absorption. He also works with nanocarriers like liposomes and their applications against breast cancer. He is an active member of the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists since 2018 and currently serves as a Chair for AAPS-Auburn University (AAPS-AU) Student Chapter.
