Dr. Robert “Rusty” Arnold is a Professor in the Department of Drug Discovery and Development at Auburn University’s (AU) Harrison College of Pharmacy, where he also serves as the Director of Research Development and Support. He holds adjunct professorships in Pathobiology at AU and Small Animal Medicine and Surgery at the University of Georgia. He is a Senior Scientist in Experimental Therapeutics at the UAB O’Neal Comprehensive Cancer Center. Dr. Arnold earned a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University at Buffalo (UB) and completed postdoctoral training in cancer therapeutics and non-invasive imaging at UB and Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Institute. Before transitioning to academia, he worked in the Liquid and Parenteral Research and Development group at Wyeth-Ayerst Research. His research focuses on improving drug delivery and treatment through dosing schedules and nanomedicines. His lab employs a multi-omics approach to study the effects of different drug exposure profiles and engineers multifunctional nanomedicines for the treatment of cancer. His research is supported by the NIH, NSF, and various other public and private entities. Dr. Arnold has served the AAPS in a variety of roles since 1998 and is currently a Learning Opportunities Manager for the NANO and PPDM Communities
