Karelys Díaz-Dávila is currently earning her Doctor of Pharmacy degree (PharmD) from Lloyd L. Gregory School of Pharmacy, where her research concentrated on the synthesis and characterization of nanoparticles, Infrared and Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS) techniques. During her academic career, she became a researcher with over six years of demonstrated history in ecological field and pharmaceutical drug development in laboratory settings. Although her research experience is brief, Ms. Díaz-Dávila has actively participated in several collaborative projects, contributing innovative ideas and fresh perspectives.
At AAPS PharmSci 360, Ms. Díaz-Dávila aims to share insights on recent advancements in the development of a pH-responsive nanocarrier to deliver Phenelzine for prostate cancer treatment. She believes in the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration and is eager to engage with fellow researchers and industry professionals to foster knowledge exchange. In addition to her research role, Ms. Díaz-Dávila is passionate about mentoring and tutoring pharmacy students and young professionals in the field. She regularly volunteers for outreach programs, helping to inspire the next generation of scientists. She is excited to participate in AAPS PharmSci 360 and looks forward to connecting with others who share her passion for pharmaceutical innovation.
