Senior Scientist
Genentech, Inc.
I received my bachelor’s degree in biochemistry and molecular biology from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) in 2012, and later worked as a post-baccalaureate scholar at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). I then received my PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Maryland Baltimore (UMB) in 2020. The goal of my doctorate research was to identify potential drug targets for therapeutics against Pseudomonas aeruginosa infections by studying pathways needed for bacterial survival and virulence. During my PhD I received fellowships and awards such as the NIH Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award, Chemistry Biology Interface Fellow, Meyerhoff Graduate Fellow Award and UMB Champion of Excellence. I joined Genentech as a part of the inaugural cohort of the drug development training program (DDTP) in 2020. I transistioned out of this program into a senior scientist role in the Preclinical and Translational PKPD group at Genentech.
