Rodney JY Ho, Ph.D., NAI, FAAAS and FAAPS, is a Professor of the University of Washington and the Executive Director of the WE-REACH, a NIH designated National Hub. He serves in a number of leadership roles including Assoc Dean for Research and New Initiatives. Ho is a distinguished leader in pharmaceutical sciences and systems pharmacology with success in translating innovations into products of health impact. He serves on a number of national and international initiatives relating to Cancer and HIV therapeutics including LEAP leadership team to facilitate research and development of long-acting therapies for NIH and WHO’s Unitaid. Ho holds over 21 patents and noted for the Paul Dawson Biotechnology, Volwiler Research Achievement and AAPS Biotechnology awards. He founded several companies to develop device and therapeutics. Some startups are now Nasdaq listed companies. He is the author of “Biotechnology & Biopharmaceuticals: Transforming Proteins and Genes into Drugs.” Under his leadership, the WE-REACH team help Entrepreneurs to accelerate biomedical product innovations through public-private partnership. He has published over 200 articles, books and book chapters and serves as editor for the Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Ho is a fellow of AAAS and AAAPS; an elected member of the National Academy of Inventors.
