Kaustav Chatterjee completed his Ph.D. in Chemistry in June 2023 advised by Prof. Sara E. Skrabalak from Indiana University (IU) Bloomington. He then joined Merck as an MRL Postdoctoral Fellow, working on mechanistic insights into the detrimental effect of film coat chemistry on the physical stability of amorphous solid dispersions (ASD) in oral tablet formulations. Throughout his research career, he has authored over 20 research articles in peer-reviewed high-impact journals and one patent and presented his research at several national and international conferences. Recognizing his contributions to materials science research, he has received numerous national and international honors and awards, namely the Materials Research Society Graduate Student Award, American Chemical Society LEADS Fellow, ARPA-E (DOE) Graduate Fellow, and recently named the 2023 Materials Research Society Future Leader. He is also an active AAPS member.
