Francesca Selmin is associate Professor in pharmaceutical technology at the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences of the Università degli Studi di Milano. She received her Ph.D. in “Chimica del Farmaco” at Università degli Studi di Milano. She was invited at the College of Pharmacy at the University of Kentucky (USA) as visiting scientist in Dr. DeLuca’s Lab where she improved her knowledge on the design and characterization of biodegradable drug delivery systems. After a doctoral position at Università degli Studi di Milano, she became assistant Professor.
She possesses specific expertise and skills in parenteral drug delivery systems and oromucosal drug delivery systems. Moreover, the research activities deals with the development of not-compedial assay to characterize controlled release delivery systems. To date, her research work is documented more than 50 publications in international peer-review journals and by several communications at national and international meetings.
