Dr. Yuan Chen is a seasoned scientist with over 15 years of experience in molecular biology, chemistry, pharmacology, and pharmaceutics. Holding a Ph.D. in Chemistry, Dr. Yuan Chen further honed his expertise with postdoctoral studies at the University of Rhode Island, making significant contributions to pharmacology, particularly in understanding hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). His work has shed light on molecular mechanisms and biomarkers critical to HCC progression, paving the way for potential diagnostic and therapeutic innovations. In parallel to the oncological research, Dr. Yuan Chen has pioneered nanotechnology-based drug delivery systems, striving to revolutionize therapeutic and diagnostic approaches - his study was published in esteemed journals like Hepatology, Molecular Endocrinology, and ACS Nano. Currently, as a Senior Research Scientist at Texas Southern University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, Dr. Yuan Chen spearheads the preclinical development of novel drug candidates. This role involves comprehensive preclinical services, including bioanalysis, formulation, and pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic (PK/PD) studies, reinforcing his commitment to bridging the gap between laboratory research and clinical application. With more than 20 research projects under his belt, Dr. Yuan Chen's expertise is in scientific exploration and the strategic management of research projects. His MBA education has been instrumental in integrating business models into Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in laboratory management, marrying scientific rigor with operational efficiency.
