Sumana Dey Chowdhury is a Ph.D. candidate at Nova Southeastern University, College of Pharmacy, focusing on drug development, specifically on hydrogel-forming microneedles for innovative drug delivery systems. As a Teaching Assistant, she supports Pharm.D. students in the compounding lab, enhancing her practical experience in pharmaceutical education.
Previously, she worked as an Assistant Professor at Adamas University in India, where she taught courses such as Physical Pharmacy, Pharmaceutics, and Biotechnology. During her tenure, she led research on mesoporous carbon nanospheres as novel antimicrobial agents. Her academic journey is rooted in a Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, where she conducted research on therapeutic drug monitoring using transdermal iontophoresis. Her goal is to advance pharmaceutical sciences to improve patient health through innovative drug products. She is currently seeking internship opportunities in the USA.
