Triple quadrupole mass spectrometry (QqQ) emerged into the regulated bioanalysis scene in the 1990’s and since has grown to the dominate technology we see today. With this technology came enhanced sensitivity and selectivity which were the primary drivers for supplanting previous mainstay technologies such as HPLC-UV, etc.
High resolution mass spectrometry (HRMS) is now emerging into the regulated bioanalysis field offering further enhanced selectivity over QqQ. Will HRMS supplant QqQ or will the technologies synergistically co-exist? With this session we will discuss how HRMS can be used in both regulated and non-regulated bioanalysis, with case studies showing HRMS was the only solution. In addition, we will discuss how HRMS can be applied to antibody drug conjugates.
