The AAPS Pharmacokinetics, Pharmacodynamics, & Drug Metabolism (PPDM) Community Membership Meeting is an essential event for gathering our community members to review the past year's accomplishments and set our sights on future goals. This meeting offers a comprehensive overview of our progress and provides a platform for recognizing the significant contributions and leadership within our community. For the 2023/2024 year, our mantra—innovate, excel, and inspire—guided our efforts and achievements within the PPDM community. We are proud of the strides we have made under this guiding principle, each aspect reflecting our commitment to advancing the field and supporting our members.
During the meeting, we will highlight the significant achievements of the PPDM community in the 2023/2024 year. These accomplishments span several key areas, including our programming, leadership, scientific contributions, and community engagement efforts. Our programming has been robust, offering a wide range of educational and professional development opportunities tailored to the needs of our members.
We will take time to acknowledge and celebrate community members who have stepped into leadership roles within AAPS. Their commitment and dedication have been instrumental in guiding our initiatives and advancing our mission. Their contributions have helped shape the direction of the PPDM community and AAPS. We are excited to recognize their efforts and impact in motivating future PPDM leaders. The meeting will also serve as a moment of transition, as we introduce the leadership team for the 2024/2025 year. These new leaders will be charged with continuing the momentum and steering the community toward even greater achievements.
Our meeting will highlight significant scientific achievements by acknowledging members who have contributed to AAPS’s scientific endeavors through symposium presentations, rapid-fire sessions, and poster presentations. Their work represents the cutting edge of research in pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and drug metabolism. We will also provide updates on two major scientific papers currently under development within the PPDM community, showcasing our commitment to achieving top-tier standards in our field. Additionally, we will review the progress of the DMPK course organized by PPDM, highlighting its impact on advancing our scientific knowledge.
Looking ahead to 2024/2025, we will outline our goals and priorities, focusing on areas where we can continue to make a difference. Whether it’s expanding our programming, fostering new research collaborations, or enhancing member support, these goals are designed to build on our previous successes and address the evolving needs of our community. Importantly, we will open the floor to feedback from our members, encouraging them to share their thoughts on how we can improve and what they would like to see in the future.
Lastly, the meeting will provide ample opportunities for networking, allowing members to connect with each other, exchange ideas, and build relationships that can lead to future collaborations. We believe that these interactions are crucial for personal and professional growth, and we are committed to creating a welcoming space for all.
We look forward to gathering with our members, celebrating our achievements, and charting the course for another successful year together.
