HRMS has introduced a valuable improved dimension of selectivity to bioanalytical LC-MS assays over traditional triple quadrupole (QqQ) instruments. The mass resolution and mass accuracy of Q-Orbitrap instruments has been applied to regulated bioanalysis to address challenges that could not be met with QqQ and ligand binding assay approaches. This presentation will explore why and how HRMS can be applied in the modern regulated bioanalytical laboratory for PK and PD applications.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion, participant will be familiar with the current state of use of HRMS in regulated bioanalysis.
Upon completion, participant will understand the fundamentals of the benefits of HRMS as a tool option for bioanalysis.
Upon completion, participant will be aware of case examples that support the choice of HRMS for the right circumstances.
Upon completion, participant will be able to dicuss the pros and cons of HRMS for regulated bioanalytical applications.
Upon completion, participant will have an understanding of the future opportunities that HRMS offers with modern drug modality quantitative bioanalysis.
