Vaccines are vital to prevent and control infectious diseases, especially in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) where health care and treatment are limited. However, developing and delivering vaccines for LMICs is challenging. It requires innovative, strategic, and flexible approaches to clinical development and manufacturing (CMC) of safe, effective, and affordable vaccines. This presentation will explore technical and strategic considerations for CMC development of preserved, multi-dose vial vaccines used to expand global access to vaccines.
Learning Objectives:
Describe key partnerships and global collaborations aimed at addressing vaccine inequality
Understand practical challenges and mitigation strategies for developing vaccines for low- and middle-income countries
Describe innovative formulation and process solutions for achieving global access to vaccines
