Dr. Marina Solomos is a Senior Scientist in the Particle Engineering Lab within Process Research & Development Enabling Technologies at Merck Research Labs (MRL) in Rahway, NJ, USA. Before joining Merck in 2020, Dr. Solomos was a postdoctoral research fellow at The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD working on crystallization of functional metal-organic frameworks via chemical vapor deposition in the Kempa Group. Prior to that, Dr. Solomos completed her PhD in crystal engineering in 2018 with the Swift Group at Georgetown University in Washington, DC. Her research interests include particle surface characterization and functional design, co-crystallization, and tailoring crystalline API properties through controlled crystallization methods.
