Michelle Kuntz is a 4th year PhD student in the department of Pharmaceutics at the University of Florida under the mentorship of Drs. Christopher McCurdy and Abhisheak Sharma. She has been a coauthor on 5 peer-reviewed publications and executed 5 research presentations, including an oral communication at the annual meeting of the College on Problems of Drug Dependence. Currently, she is evaluating the pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic effects of in utero exposure to Kratom, a natural product from Southeast Asia, using a rat model. She has been awarded a TL1 predoctoral fellowship from the NCATS/NIH team science training grant awarded to the UF Clinical and Translational Science Institute.
