Dr. Ziyaur Rahman received his Ph.D. in pharmaceutics from Hamdard University in 2005. Dr. Rahman joined the Pharmaceutical Sciences Department at Texas A&M University as an Associate Professor in 2016. Dr. Rahman teaches Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Calculations courses to PharmD students, and Advance physical pharmacy to graduate students. Dr. Rahman’s research focuses are on formulation and delivery systems with a specialization in personalized delivery via 3D printing and anti-HIV drugs. He has received over $6.1 million in external research funding from the FDA, NIH, and the industry as a PI/Co-I. Dr. Rahman serves on the editorial board of eight journals, ‘Expert Advisor’ to USP and is a member of the Center for Scientific Special Emphasis Panel of NIH. He has published 115 peer-reviewed journal articles, 17 book chapters, edited a textbook, filed a patent, and was the keynote speaker at an international conference. Dr. Rahman has chaired two committees, co-chaired a committee, and served on several committees. Dr. Rahman received many awards from the FDA, notable among them are ‘Regulatory Science Excellence’, ‘Special Recognition’, and ‘Team Excellence’. He has also been awarded ‘Mid-To-Senior Career Faculty Research’ and ‘Teaching Team’ awards by the College.
