Graduate Research Assistant
University of Cincinnati
Sidharth Gadgil, Bachelor of Pharmacy graduate from Pune University, has experience in pharmacovigilance from working at Labcorp in India and is currently a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Cincinnati, James L. Winkle College of Pharmacy with Dr. Pankaj B. Desai's group. I focus on advancing drug discovery and development through personalized medicine, particularly by repurposing FDA-approved drugs for glioblastoma (GBM) patients. My expertise includes pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic (PK/PD) approaches to drug development, molecular cell biology techniques such as ELISA, flow cytometry, RNA sequencing, and mammalian and stem-cell culture. I also have experience in animal handling, including the development of orthotopic xenograft (patient-derived cells from Mayo Clinic) rat GBM models, as well as neuroimaging (PET/CT) and histopathology. By integrating these techniques, I aim to expedite the bench-to-bedside translation of therapies, ensuring faster and more effective clinical outcomes for GBM patients. Through this comprehensive strategy, I strive to bridge the gap between research and clinical application, driving innovation in targeted treatments. My core strengths lie in the fields of Clinical Pharmacology and Neuro-oncology.
