Andreas Sauer studied chemistry at RWTH Aachen University in Germany and received his doctorate in 2013 on organometallic chemistry and polymerization catalysis. During his studies he received scholarships of the Henry Ford Foundation and the German Research Foundation (DFG) within an international research training group and conducted research projects in the lab of Prof. Mashima at Osaka University in Japan.
He joined Shin-Etsu in 2014 as pharmaceutical application lab manager in Wiesbaden, Germany. End of 2017, he changed his role to technical sales director, responsible for the technical sales activities in the EMEA region and for Shin-Etsu's pharmaceutical application labs in Wiesbaden and Totowa, NJ. Recent publications include the downstream processing of amorphous solid dispersions (ASD) into tablets as well as the use of screening tools for early ASD performance assessment.
