Estelle M. Maes, PhD, AbbVie: Dr. Estelle M. Maes is currently Director of Non-Regulated Bioanalysis at AbbVie, Lake County, IL, where she oversees teams supporting in-vitro ADME bioassays and preclinical in-vivo studies using High-Throughput Automation and Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry. Dr. Maes also leads the cross-functional Automation Focus Area team for Development Sciences at AbbVie.
Dr. Maes has 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry and before joining AbbVie in 2020, she was Director of Analytical Sciences at Icagen, where she led the Analytical Chemistry and Compound Logistics department, and before that, spent 12 years at Sanofi.
Dr. Maes received her M.S. in Chemistry from France, completed her Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry at the University of Houston, and conducted her post-doctoral training at the University of Arizona in Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics with a fellowship from the American Heart Association.
