Galina Bernstein has over 25 years of experience in the Preclinical Research and Pharmaceutical and Medical Devices Industry. She received her PhD degree in Biochemistry from Moscow State University and postdoctoral training in Medicinal Chemistry from the University of Michigan College Of Pharmacy, formal PK training during postdoctoral tenure with the Pharmacokinetics, Dynamics and Metabolism Department of Pfizer GRD. She has conducted non-compartmental, compartmental PK and PK/PD modelling including exposure-response, population PK and PK/PD analyses.
Galina Bernstein supported preclinical, clinical pharmacology, pharmacometrics and analytical clinical programs for over 500 studies including 20 studies for pediatric population, large number of studies in rare diseases and advanced therapy medicinal products (ATMP) such as gene therapy. She has been involved in projects for medical devices and clinical programs in the therapeutic areas of oncology, CNS, vaccines, dermatology, diabetes, and immunology, infectious diseases, renal impairment and others.
Galina Bernstein possesses expertise in Immunology, biomarkers and bioanalytical development for biological therapeutics especially for Oncology and Immunology clinical programs. Special interests include in silico modeling to streamline clinical programs and develop or repurpose drugs, utilization of AI and machine learning in development of algorithm for drug discovery and application.
