Eva Kudova has completed her PhD in 2009 from Charles University in Prague. Then, she spent 2 years in the lab of Douglas F. Covey, Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri, USA. Currently, she works as a Junior Group Leader at the Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry, Academy of Sciences in Prague (IOCB Prague). Neurosteroid research at the IOCB is multi-faceted, with a strong emphasis on collaborative projects with national and international neuroscience research groups. It includes organic synthesis, medicinal chemistry, the development of drug-like compounds, the identification and characterization of the potential binding site(s), the mechanism(s) of action, and more recently, the development of neurosteroid formulations.
