Teresa Urlacher, PhD is a Senior Manager in the Molecular and Cell Biology division at Celerion in Lincoln, NE. She received her PhD in Chemistry from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and has a 25 year background in molecular and cellular biology, biochemistry, protein-protein interactions and cell-based functional assays. In a previous role, she led the Research and Development Team at LI-COR Biosciences to develop reagents, assays, instrumentation and software solutions for protein analysis using infrared detection technology. Her team at Celerion develops custom assays to measure pharmacodynamic endpoints using ex-vivo stimulation of whole blood or isolation PBMCs, receptor occupancy assays, immunophenotyping and detection of intracellular targets detected by flow cytometry. The bioanalytical laboratory at Celerion is co-localized with the Phase I clinic providing immediate access to whole blood, and isolation of PBMCs and platelets to achieve high yields with excellent viability. In addition, her team specializes in designing custom cell-based neutralizing antibody assays.
