Carl Allenspach is a distinguished pharmaceutical scientist with 27 years of experience in pharmaceutical development and manufacturing. Currently, he leads the Business Operations group and serves as the ‘chief of staff’ for the Manufacturing Science and Technology organization at Bristol Myers Squibb, overseeing both small molecules and biologics. Throughout his career, Carl has played a pivotal role in the early and late-stage development, clinical supplies, tech transfer, manufacturing support, and global filings of over 45 compounds during his tenure at Pfizer, Novartis, and BMS. An active member of AAPS since 2004, Carl has chaired multiple committees and is currently the Past Chair for Interphex Programming. He also holds a leadership position in the Manufacturing Science and Engineering community. Carl earned his Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Science from Rutgers University and a B.S. in Chemistry from Roosevelt University. His dedication to the field and his numerous contributions make him a respected figure in the pharmaceutical industry.
