Ketan Patel, PhD is an Associate Professor of Pharmaceutics at St. John’s University, NY. Dr. Patel completed his Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics from the Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai, India (2014) and post-doc from Florida A&M university, FL (2016). Dr. Patel’s laboratory is primarily working on investigating novel class of anticancer molecules – Proteolysis Targeting Chimera (PROTAC), Tumor targeted nanoparticles, long acting injectables (LAIs) and gene delivery. Dr. Patel has authored/co-authored over 80 peer reviewed papers and 4 book chapters on cancer nanomedicine, amorphous solid dispersion, SNEDDS, 3D printed dosage form, HIV Pre Exposure Prophylaxis, antibody drug conjugates and opioid abuse deterrent formulation technologies. He received faculty recognition award and melanoma research scholar award 2016. Dr. Patel received multiple NIH grants for investigating novel combinatorial strategies for the treatment of drug resistant melanoma, lung cancer and pancreatic cancer.
