Student
University of Illinois Chicago
As an aspiring Ph.D. student with a passion for cell-based therapy and drug delivery, I am eager to contribute to the growing body of knowledge in these exciting and rapidly advancing fields. My research interests are focused on exploring the potential of dendritic cell-based therapies to address current challenges in cancer treatment. My academic background and research experience have prepared me well for this pursuit. I earned my PharmD degree from National Taiwan University, where I gained a solid foundation in the principles of cell biology, immunology, and clinical pharmacology. During my undergraduate studies, I was involved in several research projects, including a study on pharmacokinetic and therapeutic regimen optimization for cancer treatment, and a project on the development of an optimal nanoparticle formulation to improve bioavailability. Building on this experience, I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC), where I focused on applying dendritic cells to cancer treatment and developing novel immunotherapy. I conducted a research project on the use of nanotechnology to facilitate dendritic cell-mediated antigen presentation and T cell activation, and I am excited to continue exploring the therapeutic potential of dendritic cell-based therapy in future research.
